If you buy movies off iTunes, you either have to watch it on your computer or have an Apple TV if you want to watch it on your TV. If you offered a download that didn't have DRM so I could play it off my PS3 and watch it on my big screen I would buy it. You might want to have a look at how Dendrite Studios is currently selling their ski film "Out of the Shadows" (http://dendrite.myshopify.com). I stumbled upon a thread over on TGR and even though I never heard of them before, I didn't have a problem spending $5 on their film.

I would like to buy your film, however right now I can't justify paying $25 for a DVD that I'll probably only watch a couple of times (plus I want to watch it now). If I could download a high res version for $5 or $6 that I could play off my PS3, I would do it in a heart beat. I'm sure you're worried about piracy issues, however I think if you made it cheap and easy for everyone to buy your film, the extra sales you'd get would more then make up for any lost sales due to piracy. Just my $0.02.

You are incorrect Bob. I run my MacBook via HDMI straight into my HD TV.

Therefore, I can play Life Cycles in HD, on my TV, for $9 without Apple TV.

I guess I didn't consider hooking up a computer to your TV. What do you do for sound? Do you use the laptop speakers? My PS3 has an optical audio out that goes into my receiver so I can use my home theater speakers. Anyway, my point was more that I would like to be able to download an non-drm version so I can play it on whatever device I want.

i live in new zealand and mtb movies are also not available from itunes nz. my solution....buy an american itunes card, create an acount using the voucher code and using a random US adress, then download from the us itunes store. works perfectly!!!!!!!!!

Have you actually done this with success? In Canada, we also have a slightly different iTunes selection than the US, but it's not as simple as you say to get access to it. Here, you need a legitimate US credit card with a legitimate US billing address to create a US account. Then, you need some kind of IP routing so that it appears that your computer is actually in the US. Your solution sounds a lot simpler, and if it actually works, I'd like to give it a try!

yuo ive done it with sucuss. when you create ab itunes account, instead of entering a US credit card you click redemm (buy using a itunes girt card). once youve done this you have money on your account and therefore no need to register a credit card. ive done it before and this also means you can buy TV show, which are unavailabe on the NZ itunes store. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome! I'll give it a try. So where do you buy a US iTunes gift card? Or do any iTunes gift cards work?

We are stoked on all the feedback. It’s live on US, Canada iTunes, and should be live on the UK by the end of the day. Sorry for the confusion. For Canada and UK/IR, google “itunes link maker” to get the links to the international stores. For other regions, sorry it's an iTunes issue with each country and we are working on getting that resolved ASAP. We appreciate your support!

I'm going to say, and yes I'm hijacking the reply to the first comment, that i'm a sick and f*cking tired of MTB movies being available on Itunes, but NOT in the uk. What the hell is up with that?? I really want to watch these movies as I'm trying to get better at videoing myself, and theres nothing better than watching sick footage before going on a ride. But why can't I have a downloaded copy thats not going to get passed round all the local bikers, scratched and lost, just because I'm over the pond. I think the filmmakers are shooting themselves in the foot by not doing this. Rant over, thumbs up if you're a brit, or from somewhere else with the same problem, and you agree.

Makes a good case for torrenting really doesn't it... which for these movies is a real shame as I'm sure we'd all be happy to spend that little bit to support the industry - hard when it won't support itself I think.

I remember when the internet was open and global, now it's suffering from mad internet regionalisation. Sad times.
On the flipside, it's nice to see DH Productions offering a digital download option available because alot of MTB films are still DVD only. I for one would rather make use of my 1TB external HDD instead of stacks of DVDs in my room. I was just sayin.
